Riesling
Riesling is one of Alsace’s most important varieties and is particularly known in France for its minerality and excellent acidity. When young, it is fresh and citrusy, while with age it can develop its distinctive petrol-like notes.
Pinot Blanc
Pinot Blanc produces delicate, fresh and soft white wines in Alsace. It is less aromatic than Riesling or Gewurztraminer, but this restraint makes it a very versatile food wine.
Auxerrois
Auxerrois is an important Alsatian variety that is less well known outside the region. It produces softer, rounder and slightly richer wines than Pinot Blanc and can help balance acidity in blends.
