In France, Sauvignon Blanc is particularly associated with the Loire Valley and Bordeaux, where it brings freshness, acidity and citrus character to the wines. In Bordeaux blends, it is often combined with Sémillon to bring together freshness and a richer, rounder character.
Sémillon
Sémillon is one of Bordeaux’s classic white varieties and, when blended with Sauvignon Blanc, gives the wine more richness, softness and maturity. With age, it can become highly complex and is also essential to Bordeaux’s sweet wines.

Keep bottles on their side, somewhere cool and dark where the temperature stays even. The exact degree matters less than the stability — 10-14 °C is a good target.
